Our graduates are enrolled on the Future Leaders Programme, a tailored training course through the William J Clinton Leadership Institute at Queen’s University Belfast. In this programme, graduates cover a variety of topics, and apply this knowledge to lead on their own Business Improvement Project within Dale Farm.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF DALE FARM?
I completed my placement year with Dale Farm and have been in my graduate role for a year now and would say Dale Farm is a warm and welcoming company with lots of great people and great opportunities for learning and developing the skills to succeed!

HOW ARE YOU FINDING THE FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAMME SO FAR?
So far have enjoyed meeting and connecting with others on the programme. The kick-off session in project management was also really informative and will be key in helping with our business improvement projects.

WHAT PART OF THE FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAMME ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
I am looking forward to several of the modules that include teaching different leadership styles and leading change and transition. I am particularly looking forward to AI modules, as it is always great to get insights into cutting-edge technology and how we could better the company in the future.

HOW DO YOU THINK THIS PROGRAMME WILL PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS AT DALE FARM?
I think this programme will help prepare me by getting more hands-on with project management. I think learning different leadership approaches is key and hope I can use those skills to make our projects run as smoothly as possible. Plus, I love the strategy side of things.

My first impression was that Dale Farm is a professionally run, ambitious business with a strong reputation in the dairy market. I was particularly struck by the company’s commercial focus, the scale of its customer base, and the emphasis on building long-term strategic partnerships.

HOW DO YOU THINK THIS PROGRAMME WILL PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS AT DALE FARM?
A key part of this is the mentoring programme, in which my mentor will give me valuable insights, guidance, and perspective which will help me to develop my career at Dale Farm. Combined with the modules and exposure to different areas of the business, I feel it’s preparing me to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the company’s long-term success.

I’ve really enjoyed the future leaders programme so far. I thought the first session in Queens University with Davy McAlinden was really good and engaging. I have taken away a lot of key tips for project management which will be very helpful for my business improvement project.
